We are working on ocular cell development using pluripotent stem cells and recently have generated "whole eye organoids" containing corneal, retinal cells and lentoids et al. from human PSCs (Hayashi R. et al. 2016). Furthermore, we've developed a new therapeutic strategy for corneal regeneration using human iPSCs as a cell source. And we also work on the mechanism of ocular cell development based on ECM-mediated signal transduction.
