The experiment was carried out at Wondo Genet Agricultural Research Center, Koka research station, Ethiopia, Ethiopia 8°26’ N latitude, 39°2’ E longitude and 1602 m.a.s.l. altitude for three dry seasons (2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19) based on an objective to identify Artemisia (Artemisia annua L.) growth stages sensitive to soil moisture stress, determine critical time for irrigation application for limited water resources and productivity of water. Fourteen moisture stress at the four growth stages (initial, development, mid-season and late season stages) and one control (irrigated all the four growth stages) were used with three replication in randomized complete block design. The study revealed that moisture stress at different growth stages had a highly significant (p<0.01) effect on pooled means of plant height, fresh leaf weight, stem fresh weight, abovegr.. View more»
