Biography

Dr. Kirubanandan Shanmugam is an accomplished researcher specializing in chemical engineering, with a strong focus on sustainable materials and nanotechnology. He earned his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras in 2001 and his M.Tech in Biopharmaceutical Technology from Anna University, Chennai, in 2006. He later pursued a MASc in Chemical Engineering at Dalhousie University, Canada, completing it in 2015. Dr. Shanmugam was awarded a Ph.D. from Monash University, Australia, in 2019, where he conducted innovative research on nanocellulose-based barrier materials under the supervision of Associate Professor Warren Batchelor?

Dr. Shanmugam has also contributed to collaborative projects with BioPRIA (Bioresource Processing Institute of Australia), demonstrating his commitment to sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
