  Background: Nile Tilapia a freshwater cichlid that is indigenous to the Nile basin and one of the world’s most important food fishes. Owing to its hardy nature and its wide range of trophic and ecological adaptations and the second most i mportant cultured species. Even though, it is susceptible to the parasite. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from December 2017 to April 2018 to determine the prevalence of internal nematode parasites of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fish in a southwestern part of Lake Tana, Central Gondar, Ethiopia.
