  Introduction: The retirement decision usually occurs late in life in case of government employees and can significantly affect an individual’s well-being for many years. There are many reasons and issues for retirement decision for a government official. Financial and health concerns are a major part of the retirement decision but there are other issues that bring about the retirement decision that are unrelated to an individual’s financial and health status. In Nepal majority of government workers have compulsory retirement due to age concern. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional research methodology was used in this study.
