FGF2- Mediated Programming of Macrophages: A Novel Target for Cancer Therapy

Macrophages are present in essentially all cancers. In general these Tumor Associated Macrophages (TAMs) facilitate the growth of cancers, suppress the anti-cancer immune response and promote angiogenesis.
