Review on Novel Bacterial Antigen Identification Methods for the Development of Candidate Vaccine
Author(s): Halo Yohans*
This review mainly focused on methods that are used for identifying novel bacterial antigens that can use in
recombinant subunit vaccine development. Particularly, it describes the processes involved in reverse vaccinology,
genomic function, bioinformatics and immunological approaches and some associated complementary technologies
such as proteomics that can be used in identification of new and potentially useful vaccine antigens. Results obtained
from the application of these methods are forming basis for a new generation of vaccine for use in the control of
bacterial infections of humans and animals. .. View more»
