This study is focused on the effect of adding Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) on the rheological and mechanical properties of cement paste, as well as its influence on porosity and microstructure of the final material. The rheological properties were measured by rotational rheometry, while the evaluation of mechanical properties was carried out by compression tests. Porosity was measured with a pycnometer. The microstructure of the samples was analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Finally, this investigation includes the results of molecular modeling. Molecular dynamics simulations were performed to study the interaction of pristine of functionalized SWCNTs with a cement surface. .. View more»
