Preliminary Data on the Prevalence and Associated Risk Factors of Urinary Schistosomiasis among School Children in Abebche Commune, Eastern Chad

Schistosomiasis is the world's second-largest parasitic endemic caused by trematodes of the genus Schistosoma. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of urinary schistosomiasis among school children in two areas, peri-urban and urban, in the commune of Abeche. A parasitological survey was carried out among school children in the town of Abeche. Parasitological analyses were carried out at the Abeche Provincial Hospital laboratory and the Chemistry and Microbiology Laboratory of the institute National superior the sciences and technology d'Abeche. The method used for parasitological analysis was centrifugation.
