Sexual violence is any sexual act, attempt to obtain a sexual act, unwanted sexual comments or advances against a person’s sexuality using coercion, by any person regardless of their relationship to the victim, in any setting. The Risk factors to Sexual Violence are: Alcohol and drug use, Delinquency, Empathic deficits, General aggressiveness and acceptance of violence, Early sexual initiation, Coercive sexual fantasies, Exposure to sexually explicit media, Hostility towards women. The aim of this study is to assess the Knowledge and determine the level of awareness of the occurrence of sexual violence among adolescents in Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Mosque Ijaiye Ojokoro, Lagos State. Literature reviews from previous studies that are related to this study were used in order to form a basis for comparison and evaluation of results. This study adopted a non-experimental approach in a cross-sectional descriptive research design. A non- probability (convenience) sampling technique was used. Data was collected from 120 respondents using a structured questionnaire of 46 questions with five sections. The data collected were analyzed using IBM-SPSS version 21 software. Hypotheses were tested using chi-square test at p-value of 0.05. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and awareness of sexual violence. There is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and preventive measures to sexual violence. There is no significant relationship between gender of adolescent and sexual violence. Nurses should organize a public enlightenment campaign about sexual violence. Government should put adolescent into consideration when making policies.
