Life menacing arrhythmias may result in sudden cardiac death and are characterised as Bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias. Most of the lethal or fatal arrhythmias result from structural (fibrosis and scar due to ischemia) and functional (heart failure and autonomic nerve) irregularity of the myocardium.
