It is a branch of clinical research that deals with the employment of human beings as specimens for research and investigation. It involves systematic and scientific investigation that can be either interventional (a "trial") or observational (no "test article") and involves human beings as research subjects. Human experimentation is a medical (clinical) research which requires the willingness of specimens and unwilling experimentation can be considered as “medical torture.”
