Embryonic stem cells are derived from the fetus are used in treatment of various diseases. As ESCs are pluripotent, they can differentiate into any cell type. Researchers are able to grow ESC s into complex cells types like pancreatic β-cells and cardiocytes. Fetal cell therapy is generating lot of controversy from religious groups and ethics committees.
