Coral aquaculture
Coral aquaculture, often referred to as coral farming or coral gardening, involves growing corals for either commercial use or the restoration of coral reefs. This approach is proving to be a promising method for reviving coral reefs, which are facing global decline. By cultivating young corals in nurseries, aquaculture shields them during their most vulnerable periods. Once they are robust enough, these corals are transplanted back onto the reef to support its regeneration.
