Chromosomal DNA
Chromosomal DNA refers to the long, thread-like structures located in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells (cells with a defined nucleus) or in the cytoplasm of prokaryotic cells (cells without a defined nucleus, such as bacteria). These structures carry genetic information essential for the growth, development, and reproduction of an organism.
