Biological Psychiatry
Also known as biopsychiatry. It aims to understand mental disorder in terms of the biological function of the nervous system. Biopsychiatry is that branch/speciality of medicine which deals with the study of the biological function of the nervous system in mental disorders.
Biological Psychiatry promotes excellence in scientific research and education in fields that investigate the nature, causes, mechanisms and treatments of disorders of thought, emotion, or behavior, pathophysiology and treatment of major psychiatric disorders.
