With the wide spread use of dental implants as a main treatment modality to replace missing tooth/teeth, operators are on a constant look out to achieve more predictable results on the clinical outcome, that?s mean the quantity and quality of bone deposition in the graft sites and the subsequent stability and durability of the placed implants and their osseo-integration. Placement of an implant immediately after tooth extraction in a compromised socket consider as one of the challenging surgical procedures in dental implantology. This lecture will show how tooth extraction, implant placement and reconstruction of compromised socket by bone graft can be achieved all at the same time and in one visit.
Helme Altaee got the Master degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Baghdad/Dentistry College on 1992. Later on he was honored the High Diploma Degree in Traumatology and Orthognathic Surgery on 2003 for his 3 years Permanent Residency in Aglaeia Kiriakou Children Hospital Athens/Greece. In 2004 He finished the requirements of his Doctorate Study in Biomaterials and Dental Implants and awarded the Ph. D degree from the Council of the University of Athens/Dentistry college/Greece. Later on, in March 2013, he finished his researches for the Post Doctorate Degree in Dental Implantology, from the same university.
