Abstract:

The Mozambican sorbent of plant origin "DULROMABSORB" was investigated Thanks to high-tech oleophilum and hydrophobic properties, it can be used as the absorbing substance in liquidation of emergency floods of oil and a wide range of oil products (gasoline, diesel fuel, motor oil) on water surface and soil in a wide temperature range. Sorbent can be used in the dispersion form with absorption activity of more than 35 g of product to 1 g of sorbent, and as filler of oil collection mattresses and napkins. Sorbent is competitive in relation to specialized sorbents for collection of oil products, and many natural and industrial potential sorbents.

Biography :

Naum Samoilov is a Professor of the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University. He has completed DSc in Petroleum Refining and DPh in Chemical Engineering. He is the author of more than 600 scientific works, which were published in prestige journals, patents and transaction of international and regional conferences; also he is the author of 13 monographs and teaching aids.
