Regenerative medicine has the potential to replace or heal organs and tissues damaged by disease, age, or trauma, as well as to normalize congenital defects. To date preclinical and clinical data support the possibility for treating both chronic diseases and acute insults, and for regenerative medicine to abet maladies occurring across a wide array of organ systems and contexts, including dermal wounds, cardiovascular diseases, and traumas, treatments for certain types of cancer, and more. Currently, there are three contending technologies that can repair and restore the damaged tissues, namely stem cell (SC)-based therapies, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and autologous cartilage transplantation. In Sudan we started use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell (SC)-based therapies in different conditions e.g. Frozen shoulder, Supraspinatus impingement, Rotater cuff tear, Tennis elbow, Carpal tunnel syndrome, de quervain's tenosynovitis, Cervical and lumbar disc herniation, Sciatica, Hip Avascular necrosis, Knee meniscus injury, Knee collateral ligament injuries, Cruciate ligament injuries, Ankle sprain, Planter fasciitis, Achillis tendinitis, Rheumatoid arthritis, and Knee osteoarthritis. The operations taking places in Abubakr Alrazi Hospital in Khartoum state, the hospital consist of fourth floors with 159 beds in different departments including the operation rooms. Since the period from November and December 2022, 580 patients have been physically examined and the necessary laboratory investigations and treatments were made, and also (348) patients were given cellular therapy. Currently they are being followed up by the team. Survey and Questionnaire were made for all the patients to follow their cases and now it is under study. 69% from 580 patients were female, 79% aged more than 41 years old, 15% aged between 18 and 40 years old and 6% aged below 18 years old. 93% of the patients (324/348) did cellular therapy and will keep recommending the cellular therapy for other people.
