Objective: Reconstruction of the mandibular condyle is a challenging problem in maxillofacial surgery. Its success implies correct restoration of form, function and normal growth of the mandible. The costochondral graft is favoured for this purpose because of its biological and anatomical similarities to the mandibular condyle Material and methods: This study will evaluate : 530 patients with various deformities undergone costochondral graft.treated at the Cranio-Maxillofacial, Oral and Plastic Surgery Department Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, Egypt. . The patients were suffering from .Different types of deformities like: temporomandibular joint ankylosis,hemicraniofacialmicrosomia, fracture condyle, resected mandibular tumors. Sequestrated condyle as a sequel of Severeodontogenic Infection Result: Patients, their management and results will be discussed as well as complications. Conclusions: Thecostochondral graft is applicable to the nearly all the abnormalities of the temporomandibular joint which can be congenital , developmental , acquired.
