Abstract:

This research presents a study conducted on 16 patients to determine skeletal and dentoalveolar effects of Quick Fix appliance on treatment of pseduo Class III malocclusion. At the end of treatment, SNA, SNB, maxillary length and Wits increased significantly. In addition, lower incisors tipped spontaneously towards the lingual. Specifically, the subjects? anterior crossbites and associated mandibular functional shifts were predictably corrected as intended. Primary effects of Quick Fix were dental with orthopedic changes being minimal.

Biography :

Sohayla Ibrahim has completed her Master degree in Oorthodontics from Mansoura University, Egypt. She is currently an orthodontic trainer at Mansoura Dental Training Center. The previous research was published in Journal of Clinical Orthodontics in coordination with the inventor of Quick Fix, Dr S. Jay Bowman.
