Survey of weed flora was conducted in four different flower orchards at Floriculture Research Station (FRS), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad to find out the parameters like density, relative density, frequency and relative frequency for different weed species. For this each flower orchard laid down in 10 quadrates of 0.25m2, in total 40 quadrates were laid down for 4 type of flower crops such as tuberose, rose, marigold and chrysanthemum. As per the study the predominant weed was noticed in tuberose is Cyperus rotundus of its density (23.1), relative density (44.42), frequency (1.0) and relative frequency (18.18). In case of Rose the predominant weed was Cynodon dactylon of its density (17.6), relative density (35.69), frequency (1.0) and relative frequency (24.39). But in Marigold and chrysanthemum the predominant weed is Portulaca oleracea of its density is (4.9 &7.1), relative density (13.49 & 18.34), frequency (1 &1) and relative frequency is (25 & 22.72) respectively. It was concluded from this study shows that good weed management practices is essential for above predominant weeds with respect to particular flower crops for enhance the flower yield.
