Neuromuscular dental disorders embrace a wide range of specific and nonspecific disorders that produce symptoms of pain and dysfunction of muscle of mastication, temporomandibular joint, central nervous system, teeth and adjoining orofacial structures, at time which manifests as head ache, neck ache, ear ache, etc. The accurate clinical diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular dental disorder is furthermore complexed by its multi-factorial etiology. This discussion covers a variety of cases its diagnosis and management, which help in deep understanding of the various prosthodontic aspects of diagnosis, treatment planning and management of neuromuscular dental disorders.
Deshraj Jain has completed his graduation in Dental Surgery from Government College of Dentistry and Post-graduation from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. He is currently serving as Professor and Head of Department of Prosthodontics and Dean, Government Dental College, Indore. He has several international and national scientific paper publications to his credit. He is a Member of Indian Dental Association; Indian Prosthodontic Society; Pierre Fouchard Academy; Medical Teacher Association; Rose Society of India, etc. He is the President Dental Council of India, Madhya Pradesh Branch and has been invited as guest speaker in various international and national dental conferences.
