Abstract:

Nanomedicine and nano delivery systems are rapidly developing and burgeoning area of biomedical science where nanoscale materials are utilized as diagnostic tools for delivering therapeutic agents to targeted sites in a controlled manner. Nanotechnology as a science has enormous benefits in treating chronic human diseases in a target-oriented delivery of precise drugs. Recently, a number of chemotherapeutic agents, immunotherapeutic agents, and biological agents have been employed in treating various human diseases. This presentation will cover updated summary of recent and most promising advances in the field of nanomedicines through the discovery and application of nanomaterials in improving the efficacy of existing drugs and selective diagnosis through biomarker molecules. The prospects and challenges of nanomedicines in drug delivery from natural/synthetic sources to their clinical applications will also be discussed. Furthermore, information about current trends and their respective perspectives in the field of nanomedicine will be highlighted
