Abstract:

Root canal treatment in children has been an innovative concept as it allows the clinician to save the primary teeth until they exfoliate on their own. In case of abscessed or previously failed root canal treatments, there are two possible treatment options: Extraction of primary teeth followed by Space Maintainers or Laser assisted Pulpectomies to save the tooth. Diode lasers have played an important role in the success of root canal treatments of primary teeth with abscess and fistula. This presentation will provide with an overview of the indications, procedure and descriptive analysis of Diode laser assisted Root canal treatment in primary teeth. The presentation is based on clinical study being conducted at a private practice in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The same study had been the successful Thesis topic for the Masters program (Sept 2011-Sept 2013) at AALZ Laser Institute, RWTH, Aachen, Germany.

Biography :

Imneet Madan has led to specialize in the skills of Pediatric Endodontics and clinical management of complex multi-faceted dental diseases in children. Over the period of eleven years, he had gained ample experience in academic participations of dental origin, clinical presentations and Pediatric Dentistry based treatment administrations. With the Masters in Business administration, he is capable to manage the assigned projects through staff motivation and involvement in both decision-making and target-setting, clarity in communication, and easy personal inter-relations
