Abstract:

Childhood is a carefree time filled with love ,joy , care and every child deserves a loving environment ,however for many children this is only a dream as child abuse and neglect represent major threats to child health and well being in our nation and also around the world .Awareness about child abuse ,early intervention and approaches helps to prevent such abuse and neglect and holds great promise to avert the problem before it ever occurs .

Biography :

I am Dr.Naveena Preethi, currently working as a senior lecturer in Rajarajeswari Dental College Bengaluru as a Pediatric Dentist. I completed my post-graduation in the same college in July 2015 . I have actively participated in several National and International conferences .My participation in IADR –American Academy of Dental Research conference at Cape Town added a feather to my hat : my research work presented at the same has been published in the Journal of Dental Research (JDR) ,the world’s second leading Journal in Dentistry.
