Abstract:
The current literature will be reviewed and the autotransplant technique described for this useful but underutilized technique. The advantages and disadvantages of autotransplanting both mature and immature teeth will be discussed. A number of cases will be presented to illustrate clinical situations where this technique should be considered. The protocols for incorporation of autransplantation into an orthodontic treatment plan will be described.
