Abstract:

Background: The highly contagious nature of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2), besides the fact that dental procedures commonly generate blood and saliva droplets that could lead to the contagion have resulted in many complications in work. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on dental practice by conducting a questionnaire among the Tunisian dental practitioners and patients. Methods: This report is based on a questionnaire that was conducted among the dental clinic of Monastir. The survey included questions that evaluate complications caused by COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on their personal life, and the quality of dental services for patients. Results: Overall, 200 Patients contributed to this study. The majority of the participants was not satisfied (80%).They repo complications (dental fracture: 67%, loss of prostheses: 56%, Inflammation: 34%. Biography :

Imen Kalghoum is a skilled professional in the field of fixed prosthodontics, currently serving as an Assistant Professor. She obtained her University degree in implantology and implant prosthesis from the University of Monastir in 2016, marking the beginning of her journey in dentistry. Following her passion for effective communication in medicine, Imen pursued a University degree in Medical English from the University of Medicine in 2017. In 2018, she achieved a National Diploma in Fixed Prosthodontics, showcasing her expertise in crafting precise dental prosthetics.
