Objective: To evaluate the carrying of yeast species in patients with oral hoops. Materials & Methods: A study of cases and controls included 60 patients was conducted. Experimental Group: Patients with piercing metal and acrylic. Inclusion Criteria: Patients 14-65 years old, immunocompetent, with piercing. Exclusion Criteria: Taking antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and antifungal .Who have received periodontal treatment in the last 6 months. Control Group: Patients without piercing. In addition to conventional medical history a survey was conducted with sterile swabs and samples of soft tissue, palate, and tongue were taken. A sample of the ring and then take placed in tubes with 0.5 ml of PBS. The yeast species were identified in chromogenic medium, Api, ID 32 C, Brichro-Dubli, Fumouze, and DNA amplification by PCR with primers. Results: The presence of C. albicans was observed, C. parapsilosis, C. tropicalis, C. guillermondii, C. glabrata and C. sake both the peripheral rim and mucosa, the bearing is larger in the peripheral mucosa, lips and cheeks with a significant difference compared with noncarriers of piercing. (P=0.002) -Periodontal equal to the initial condition was maintained in all cases. Conclusion: Yeasts grow in both piercing and lips, tongue and cheeks and can spread from this new niche
