Abstract:

M aterials with features on the scale of nanometers often have properties different from their macroscale counterparts. When applied in life science fields, nanotechnology has the potential to improve products. This presentation will describe some basic concepts of nanomaterials and the common technologies to prepare and characterize them. The advantages of using nano- sized drugs for drug delivery applications will be illustrated with a few examples.
