Abstract:

Some medications and drugs, both therapeutic or illegal, show adverse effects on the dentition of the individual. These can cause xerostomia , periodontal problems like gingival enlargement, ulcerationsand inflammation to name some. Here we would discuss about these medications and drugs and their subsequent adverse effects on the dental tissues. We would also getto know the alternate treatment plans and the preventive measures to be taken by the patients

Biography :

Deeksha Kaura has completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery at the age of 23yrs from Maharishi Markendeshwar University. She was a student fellow under the Indian Council of Medical Research approved research at the Deptt of Preventive Pediatric Dentistry at MM College of Dental Sciences & Research, Mullana. She has presented 6 Scientific papers/posters at different National Conferences.
