Abstract:
Reconstructive dentistry became less invasive over the last five decades with the technological and scientific input. The number of scientific work and published documentation is greater than ever. Yet, failures could not be completely eliminated affecting the longevity of the restorations. This lecture will focus on the biomechanical and biological principles, present the state-of the art on direct and indirect resin-bonded bridges and compare their clinical longevity with those of other treatment options.
