Introduction: Covid-19 is a pandemic disease with a high risk of comorbidity and mortality in patients with (Hypertension, Pulmonary Disease, Cancer, Diabetes…). The current study was carried out to investigate the effect of Covid-19 on patients with Diabetes in Afghan Japan Communicable Disease Hospital, Kabul. 2021 Method: This (descriptive-analytic) study was conducted on 102 diabetes patients who were confirmed with SARSCoV- 2 detected RT-PCR results including Fasting and Random Blood sugar reports and admission files study. The data was analysed using SPSS 20 (IBM). Results: We found, most of patients experienced severe to more-severe sign and symptoms with a high mortality rate of (49%), also, most of these patients died due to pneumonia, ARDS, Respiratory and Cardio Pulmonary Arrest, we found that only (1%) patients were in normal diabetes stage. Conclusion: This study shows that diabetes patients who are infected with Covid-19 are at higher risk of comorbidity and mortality. As we know better Covid-19 does not have any specific treatment, these patients must keep themselves safe from the infection and always manage their blood sugar. HbA1C is an accurate report for diabetes patients and its suggested as a gap for further research.
