Cost of production of burfi blended with walnut powder

Abstract:

The cost of production of walnut powder burfi from buffalo milk khoa with and without addition of walnut powder was calculated and is presented in Table 4.14. All the ingredients used for preparation of walnut powder burfi was rated according to the prevailing prices in the market .The cost of production of burfi under treatment T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5 were Rs. 232.00, Rs. 249.40, Rs. 257.21 Rs 265.00 and Rs.272.83 per kg respectively. It could be seen from the Table 4.14 that the cost of production of one kg burfi prepared from plain khoa was lower (Rs. 232.00) as compared to the cost of production of burfi from treatment T2 (Rs. 249.40), T3 (Rs.257.21), T4 (Rs. 265.00), T5 Rs (272.83). From the above cost of production it could be concluded that as the proportion of walnut powder level in the burfi increased the cost of production increased considerably.
