Abstract:

Among the general accidents that may occur in the dental office, allergy is one of the severe complications that can lead to death of the patient. This presentation will focus on two cases of allergy occurred in the dental office after the use of local anaesthesia with xylocaine. Unfortunately, in both the cases, it was impossible to manage these complications, and despite many efforts, the patient died. When these two situations were analysed, it was seen that the diagnosis was delayed, so the first gestures and management of these situations have not been applied at time. This presentation would like to analyze step by step the signs and symptoms which happened from the beginning to the death. Also, the author would like to present some emergency gestures to apply as soon as the allergy is suspected.
