Additionally, people should practice good food handling and preparation practices. This includes washing fresh fruits and vegetables before eating them, cooking food to the appropriate temperature, and avoiding cross-contamination between raw and cooked foods. Vaccines are available for both adults and children, and are recommended for people who are at an increased risk of contracting the virus.
