Anthropology Reports deals with Criminal Investigations for the applications of Anthropology. Several methods & concepts were incorporated from biological anthropology i.e study of the physical aspects of humanity. Anthropology Reports is a key part for Identifying unknown individuals. Anthropologists assist in identifications primarily by constructing a biological profile. This includes estimating sex, age, ancestry and stature, by identifying specific characteristics like injuries or diseases. In addition to helping identify human remains, the anthropologist analyzes injuries that happened around the time of a person's death, which helps to determine how a person died.

Peer-review process is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Anthropology Reports or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript.
