Biography

Zonghua Zhang obtained his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degrees from the College of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering, Tianjin University, China, in 1992, 1998 and 2000, respectively. From Jan. 2001 to Sep. 2002, he was a postdoctoral researcher in Mechanical Engineering, Tianjin University. From 2003 to 2009, he was in Ruhr University Bochum of Germany, Queen’s University of Canada, Heriot-Watt University and University of Leeds of UK. In Mar. 2009, he came to the Hebei University of Technology. Now he is a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering and the Deputy Director of the Institute of Modern Measurement & Control Technology. He has published more than 60 journal and conference papers, 4 book chapters, 3 international and Chinese patents.

Research Interest

optical metrology, automatic fringe pattern analysis, human motion analysis, human gait identification and recognition, 3D biometrics and computer graphics.
