Dr. Zhi-Qiang Xiong was born in Yongfeng, Jiangxi Province, China in 1981. He received his B.E in bioengineering, M.E. in soil microbiology, and Ph.D. in biochemical engineering. Presently, he is assistant professor of key laboratory of synthetic biology, Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interest is natural products by synthetic biology and biochemical engineering.
Dr. Zhi-Qiang Xiong Research Interests includes Discovery of natural products by genomics and metagenomics, Synthetic biology of natural products, Biochemical/Bioprocess Engineering, Microbial Fermentation, Molecular breeding of advanced microorganisms for industry, Bioseparation and On-line biochemical process monitoring/control.
