Biography
Yongjie Yang received his Ph.D in Neuroscience & Genetics from Iowa State University in 2005. Presently he is an Assistant Professor of Neuroscience in Tufts University School of Medicine at Boston.
Research Interest
Intercellular communication between neurons and astrocytes at synapses plays critical roles in maintaining normal physiological function in the CNS. Abnormal communication between neurons and astrocytes has been implicated in several neurodegenerative disease pathophysiology.
