Yixuan Wang

Dr. Wang is an Associate Professor in the College of Science and Health Professionals at Albany State University. He earned his Ph. D in Theoretical Chemistry from Shandong University in 1994. He completed postdoctoral training at Max-Planck Institute for Physics of Complex System, and Texas A&M University. Dr. Wang has published 72 peer-reviewed journal articles, and has also co-edited one book and contributed to 4 book chapters. Dr. Wang’s expertise is in computational/theoretical chemistry with applications in molecular design of nano-material based drug delivery systems, noncovalent interactions of bio-nano systems, and molecular modeling and simulations of advanced power sources. As a PI, Dr. Wang’s research is currently supported by NIH, ARAA project, and ACS PRF. Dr. Wang’s awards include 2009 Research of the Year at Albany State University, State Natural Science Award (State Council of China, 1997).
