Biography
Dr Brian Lam is a Research Associate at the Wellcome Trust-MRC Institute of Metabolic Scienceand before that he was a bioinformatics consultant for the Genomics Corelab in the Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre and also in the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine. Over the years he hasworked various research groups in Cambridge and in Hong Kong in bioinformatics and data mining analyses and has published a number of papers. He obtained his PhD in 2008 from the University of Cambridge and has double bachelor’s degrees in Computing and Information Systems and Biochemistry.
Research Interest
Dr Lam is interested in applyingadvanced computational techniques to study systems neurobiology and this also includes developing new software tools required for these studies.
