Xiaoduo Fan
Biography
Dr. Xiaoduo Fan is a Board certified staff psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital MGH, and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Fan’s research interests focus on pharmacological interventions for refractory symptoms, cardiometabolic comorbidity and real life functioning in patients with schizophrenia.In addition, he is interested in cultural aspect of psychiatry, particularly mental health issues in Asian populations. Over the past several years, Dr. Fan has established research collaboration with Shanghai Mental Health Center in China. Dr. Fan has received several prestigious awards such as the National Institute of Mental Health NIMH Outstanding Resident Award, Future Leaders in Psychiatry Award and the NARSAD Young Investigator Award twice. More recently, Dr. Fan received a fiveyear Career Development Award from NIMH K23 to support his research in innovative treatment strategies for cognitive deficits and metabolic problems in patients with schizophrenia.
