X Charlie Dong
Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Indiana University School of Medicine, USA
Dr. Dong is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Center for Diabetes Research at Indiana University School of Medicine. His research focuses on the pathogenesis of diabetes and obesity and related complications. Specifically, his laboratory investigates the pathophysiological functions of forkhead box O transcription factors (Foxos) and NAD+-dependent deacetylases (sirtuins). Prior to the appointment at Indiana University, he got his B.S.in Biology from Shandong Normal University and Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular and Developmental Biology from the Ohio State University.
