Tracey D Boncher
Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Ferris State University, USA
Before entering academia I received my B.S. education from the University of Michigan and my Ph.D. from Wayne State University. I have been involved in teaching medical biochemistry, nutritional biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, drug action and infectious diseases at Ferris State College of Pharmacy for 10 years. My research interests are in the field of diabetes. Most of my research is with the synthesis and drug discovery of small PPAR gamma/delta dual agonists to help advance diabetes treatments. I have a current provisional patent on a number of novel promising agents and I just published a recent paper in Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters.
