Biography

Dr. Thereza Christina Lopes Coutinho is a pediatric dentist and orthodontist with a Postdoc in Cariology and a PhD in Pediatric Dentistry from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of School of Dentistry at Fluminense Federal University in Brazil, where she coordinates Pediatric Dentistry. Furthermore, she is also Head of ZEUS Research Group where she investigates factors related to dental caries and erosion and also the prevention of these diseases. She is a member of Research and Ethics Committee of School of Medicine at the same University and holds a membership in Cariology Group of International Association for Dental Research (IADR). Her research interests include Cariology, Caries diagnosis, Fluoride, Erosion, Saliva, Oral Microbiology, Oral Pathology in children and Dental Traumatology. She has published several research and review articles in scientific journals and annals of events.
