Subhash Kamal working as an associate professor at Department of Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering in University technology Petronas. He is interested in Skilled in mechanism of hot corrosion and thermal spray coatings on superalloys, at high temperature, with detonation-gun coating methodology. Good background of inter-disciplinary research work. With focus to design and develop Detonation-gun thermal spray coating and nanostructure coating by DC-magnetron sputtering. Strong background in metrological techniques of field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), optical spectroscopy, surface profilometry and XRD techniques. Formally trained and experienced in a broad range of scientific tools ranging from atomic force microscopy to chromatography to support interdisciplinary research initiatives. Also I have thoroughly learned several experimental techniques like DC and RF Magnetron Sputtering, and sharpened my experimental skills during my research work. I realized the significant contribution of the experimental research towards the development of the theories in the area of thermal spray and Nanostructured coatings.
