I am a Lecturer in Computational Biology in the School of Computer Science, the University of Birmingham. The post is part of the Systems Science for Health initiative. I am also working in the Centre for Systems Biology (CSB), the School of Biosciences. I obtained my PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the University of Liverpool in June 2007. My research interests include optimisation, data mining, agent-based modelling, complex network analysis and there applications to biomedical problems.
Agent-based modelling, data mining, swarm intelligence, evolutionary computation, machine learning, collective behaviour, proteomics and metabolomics.
