Biography

I’m a Associate Professor in Marmara University at Department of Peditarics, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. After completing the my clinical education I have started basic research in Endocrine Unit, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical Faculty. I’m working as both clinician and basic scientist and, try to combine basic research with clinics.The main crossing field of basic and clinical science is genetics and containing very fast development recently. Since, most of the disease in the pediatric endocrinology have genetic basis, my main interest is the genetics. You can find my main research areas in the following CV.

Research Interest

Metabolic bone disease, vitamin D metabolism, genetics of rickets and pseudohypoparathyroidism, growth and growth factors, thyroid physiology and pathophysiology, thyroid genetics.
