Sangheon Kim is a nationally renowned scholar in public finance, fiscal policy and quantitative policy analysis. He joined the Graduate School of Public Administration, Seoul National University in winter 2005. Sangheon Kim has authored numerous articles, and is a frequent speaker on public finance topics to scholarly audiences. Also, he is the recipient of numerous awards, including young economist award in public finance from the Korean Association of Public Finance in March 2007. Sangheon Kim holds a B.A. in public administration from Kyungpook National University and both a M.A. and Ph.D. in public policy from the University of Chicago. Sangheon Kim previously was professor in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Before joining Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Sangheon Kim served as a research fellow in Korea Institute of Public Finance and lecturer in Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies of the University of Chicago. Prior to his academic appointments, he was a journalist in Dong-A Ilbo, one of the major Korean newspaper.
